A 19-year-old teenage man was convicted of causing a crash that killed two people because he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison for this crime, advised a San Diego DUI lawyer. The 19-year-old man pleaded guilty in the Vista Superior Court to felony DUI charges that caused the deaths of two people. The California Highway Patrol report advised that a group of Marines was riding in a Jeep Cherokee when it was struck from behind on Interstate 15 north of Escondido. A woman in a suburb of Colorado was arrested for drunk driving after she complained to the local police officers about how their picture old cars were parked as they were investigating a DUI related crash. The officers noticed the woman seemed intoxicated. The 49-year-old woman was taken into custody by the police officers as she was trying to move a car in the crash. Police had parked their cars in a way as to prevent a suspected drunken driver in the crash from fleeing the scene. The officers reported that when she returned to her car she became belligerent. Last year and Cartmell Mountain Ranch a man who was drunk driving in this suburb of San Diego injured six other people. Recently he was sentenced to six years in prison for this offense. The 57-year-old man was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony DUI charges coming from his collision that injured six people and killed a 65-year-old man. The man who was killed was a married father of five who had just retired after working two jobs for 20 years to support his family. In what was an emotional hearing at the San Diego Superior Court House, the judge sentenced a man to the middle term available under law because of his lack of criminal record, his previous time serving in the Marines, and his contributions to the local community. Joe Joseph, a professional football player for the Washington Redskins was arrested on charges of driving under the influence less than 24 hours after playing in NFL road game. A spokesman for the county Sheriff's office said that Joe Joseph was booked in the early morning hours Monday after deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident. It was only hours earlier that the Washington Redskins had returned from Jacksonville following a dramatic 20 -- 17 overtime win, In which Joseph made his debut. He was later released on his own. According to the California Highway Patrol, the San Diego County traffic accident report over the three-day New Year's holiday weekend stated that one person was killed and 60 others were arrested for San Diego DUI. These numbers were according to the California Highway Patrol report starting Friday evening at 6 PM and ending at 11:59 PM on Sunday. The deaths occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday in La Mesa in which a 53-year-old man was hit by a car while walking across the street. The driver was then arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. It is unknown if he secured a San Diego drunk driving attorney. According to the CHP officers report from the previous year, officers arrested 101 DUI suspects and 3 people were killed in San Diego. Throughout the state of California, CHP officers arrested 961 DUI suspects and 25 deaths on the roadways over the holiday weekend. The numbers can be compared to last years where 1388 arrests and 36 deaths occurred.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and the California Highway Patrol in San Diego County arrested 54 people for suspicion of drunk driving. Fortunately there were no deaths recorded. When comparing these numbers to the previous year, 52 arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and two deaths were recorded. Throughout the entire state of California 809 suspicion of drunk driving arrests were made and 11 deaths according to the CHP. Driver accused of driving under the influence while crashing into the back of a Toyota and killing the driver and Carmela Mountain was ordered to stand trial on felony charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

The 57-year-old San Diego man pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter charge and two counts related to driving under the influence of alcohol. If he is convicted, he can be sentenced to 13 years in California state prison.

Rogers stated that the evidence presented, showed the defendant drove under the influence of alcohol on August 20 and committed a traffic infraction that led to the death of Mark Durham, a 65-year-old resident of Rancho Bernardo.

San Diego lawyer Kenneth J. Medel was appointed to the CAA to the Superior Court Monday by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Medal Has been studying law in San Diego since 1987 and has since been the owner and principal lawyer of The Medel law firm since 2001. This past Tuesday on a suburban Dallas highway Oklahoma State star wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested for DUI which now holds his status with the team unclear while headed into the final weeks of the regular season. Blackmon was polled over at approximately 3:45 AM after officers clocked him traveling at 92 mph in a 60 mph zone on the highway. The officers then performed a field sobriety test and determine Blackmon was driving under the influence and was placed under arrest. A 52-year-old San Diego man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for running over a woman in his car while he was driving drunk San Diego and then fleeing the scene.

In an emotional setting, Bruce Hanson apologized in court to the mother and two sisters of the 35-year-old victim Alejandra Vasquez of San Diego. Hansen called his decision a "horrible decision" that he made that evening and panicked he left the scene.

Vazquez was killed in the early morning hours on February 19 when she got out of her car and was reaching for an item in her backseat when she was struck by Hansen's vehicle traveling between 40 and 50 mph.

At the time, she was on her way to work as a catering truck driver for a local lunch service.

The very next day Hanson was arrested at his home. The San Diego DUI attorney advised that San Diego police were alerted when the owner of a vehicle that looked to be damaged was dropped off at a salvage yard without its license plates. They were able to use the cars identification number to track it back to Hanson.
